We sit down and talk to Dr. Abribat about Amolyt Pharma, which is developing therapeutic peptides to treat rare endocrine and metabolic diseases. The company recently announced that it has dosed the first patient in a Phase 1 clinical trial evaluating its experimental therapeutic peptide, AZP-3601, for a life-altering rare disease called hypoparathyroidism. This is Amolyt’s first clinical trial as a company. The trial, being conducted at sites in Europe, will test whether AZP-3601 will benefit patients with hypoparathyroidism by restoring lasting levels of calcium in their blood.
